1. The Dryer Isn’t Producing Enough Heat
If the dryer isn’t producing enough heat to dry your clothes, the problem could be the heating element, high-limit thermostat, or cycling thermostat. If you have a gas dryer, it may not be producing heat due to a broken igniter or gas valve.
2. The Dryer Makes Unusual Noises

whining noise may indicate a blockage. If the noise seems like it’s coming from the bottom, it might be a broken pulley or roller. If it seems like it’s coming from the back, it might be a glider pad or blade.
3. The Dryer Shuts Off Too Soon
If the dryer shuts off too soon, there may be a part failure in the cycling thermostat, high-limit thermostat, or timer motor. If the dryer is powered with gas, it may have something with the gasiter, valve coils, gas value solenoids, gas igniters, or thermal fuses.

How to Replace Your Dryer Belt
A broken dryer belt won’t be able to keep your clothes tumbling. In fact, this common repair is one of the easiest fixes to make. In the time it takes to do this repair and the cost of replacement parts, a new dryer belt is a better choice than buying a new machine. The drive belt on your dryer attaches the motor to the drum. Over time, the belt can wear thin, especially if the dryer is overloaded. If the belt is frayed or broken, the dryer won’t turn properly, and the clothes won’t tumble the way they should.
1. Before you can start fixing your dryer, you’ll need to take a few precautions. Before you begin, make sure the dryer is unplugged. There’s a risk of electric shock — or worse. You’ll also want to remove the lint filter so you can clean it out after you repair is done. Finally you’re there, make sure to clean out the area around the lint filter as well. Thereint can build up there, which can cause the dryer to malfunction.
2. Start by removing the lint filter, then remove the two screws at the base of the front panel. Once those are out, you can pull the bottom of the panel out and then pull the top of the panel towards you and lift it up. Next front of the dryer should now be open.
3. Now that you can see the drum, you can disconnect the wire harness plug. To do this, simply pull the plug from the electrical port. Then, if it’s necessary to remove the front panel entirely, simply remove the two screws that hold the front panel to the cabinet.
4. Next, you’ll need to pull the old belt off the drum so you can install the new one. Start by loosening the screw at the base of the pulley system, then pull the pulley towards you. Next, loop the new belt around the drum and place it on the pulley first before replacing the pulley itself.
5. Finishly release the tensioner by moving it away from the belt, then loop the belt around the tensioner pulley and release the tension once again.
6. Finally, you the front panel, and start the plug of the wire harness back into the electrical port. Then put back the twoint filter and the the two screws at hold the lint filter in place.
7. Turn, put the screw in the tensioner pulley system, then give the dryer a test run to make sure everything is back to normal.
